Rivers and Roads Festival, September 12&13

Hopewell, VA — The Rivers & Roads Festival returns Friday and Saturday, September 12–13, celebrating the unique connection between Hopewell’s downtown streets and surrounding waterways. The event highlights community pride, outdoor recreation, and offers a great way to enjoy time with family and friends while exploring downtown.

A centerpiece of the weekend is the Rivers & Roads Bass Fishing Tournament, a two-day competition made possible through the continued support and coordination of the team at HopewellFishing.com. The tournament begins Friday, September 12 at the Hopewell City Marina, with anglers competing for a top prize of $15,000. The excitement builds to a final weigh-in on Saturday, September 13 at the marina, marking the end of the tournament and the reveal of the winners. There’s still time to register at HopewellFishing.com.

The main day of the street festival takes place Saturday, September 13 from 1–6 PM in downtown Hopewell, featuring live music from three bands, a beer garden, food trucks, local vendors, and a full schedule of family-friendly activities along Library Street and East Broadway. It’s a great day to enjoy live music, family fun, and support downtown businesses.

This year’s event is made possible through a partnership between the City of Hopewell, the Hopewell Downtown Partnership, and the Hopewell Prince George Chamber of Commerce
