SUMMARY:2026 Chamber Monthly Lunch SEPTEMBER
DESCRIPTION:Lamb Arts will offer a sample workshop using artistic mediums as a tool for self-reflection. This hands-on program\, located in Lamb Arts' newly renovated building in the heart of Hopewell's historic downtown\, is appropriate for all sectors and interest levels. This workshop will be led by Lamb Arts' founder\, Dr. Eliza Lamb. \n\n\n\nAbout Dr. Lamb:\n\nDr. Eliza Lamb is a practicing fine artist\, researcher\, arts administrator\, and educator. She is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design where she earned her BFA in Photography and Columbia University where she pursued her graduate studies. She holds master's degrees in Clinical Psychology\, Art + Art Education\, and Arts Administration\, as well as a doctorate in Art + Art Education. Dr. Lamb is a professional performing and visual artist whose work has won numerous awards and accolades\, including Columbia University's Myers Art Prize and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Artist Fellowship. Lamb previously served as Curator of the Children's Museum of the Arts in New York City\, Instructor at Columbia University\, and VCUarts and the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities' first Arts and Health Researcher. She is an alumnus of Leadership Metro Richmond and has presented about her work at numerous institutions such as Harvard and Columbia Universities. In 2016\, she relocated back to her home state of Virginia to establish the Lamb Center for Arts and Healing (Lamb Arts)\, where she helps bring creativity and optimism to thousands of her state's most underserved community members. Dr. Lamb was recently named the RVA Power Woman in Arts and Culture by Richmond BizSense. \n\n\n\n\n\nFor more information about the Lamb Arts mission read HERE.\n\n\n\nLamb Arts has been a chamber member since 2018.\n\n\n\nWe would like to thank our Sponsor - Vantage Point Federal Credit Union.\n\n\n\nLiz Speight\, President\, has spent over 22 years in the credit union movement. What began as a career has grown into a true passion. Liz loves working for a smaller credit union because of the family feel both among staff and with members. That close-knit environment allows her and her team to meet people where they are\, often taking extra time to help members understand how credit works and how to build a stronger financial future.\n\nLiz is passionate about leading a team that truly enjoys coming to work each day.
